Vale Terry Veale

Bunbury Golf Club regretfully advises the passing of Bunbury Golf Club Member, Terry Veale.

Terry aged 84 yrs has been a Full Playing Member since 1974 having also been a Junior Member for a number of years in the 1950’s. The Veale name has a long history the club as he followed his Father Vic whom was also long term member including the Gold Letter named in his honour the ‘Vic Veale Shield’. His unwavering love and passion for the club has been shown from his commitment to sponsoring many club events plus major events such as the Vic Veale Shield, Terry Veale Cup, Leschenault Classic and more recently the Men’s Club Championships.

Terry has contributed to many green replacements, course equipment ,our initial electronic POS and member account integration platform and more. Terry was not only a proud club member who supported and played all the clubs major events but was a proud Scrounger at heart who was extremely fond of his golf achievements including-

1986, 1990 Mens Foursomes.

1989, 1990 Summer Cup

1989 Presidents Cup

1994 Australia Day Classic

1998 Captains Cup

2002, 2013 Easter Cup

Plus his Hole In One!

Terry will be sadly missed by many as our thoughts are with his life long partner Maureen and close family.

Members are invited to attend the funeral service on Wednesday 10th April which will be followed by a wake in celebration of Terry’s life at the club from 1:30pm.
