Peter Martinson Awarded Life Membership

Following a recommendation from the Board, members voted unanimously at Monday’s Annual General Meeting to award Peter Martinson with Life Membership at Bunbury Golf Club.
Peter was present to accept and spoke of the lifetime enjoyment the club has provided and referred to the club as his home away from home and that he will continue to assist and support events and volunteer where and when required.

Life Member – Peter Martinson
- Joined Bunbury Golf Club in 1988
- Assistant Handicapper 1990 to 1992
- Club Handicapper 1993 to 1994, 2022
- Vice Captain 2011, 2012 and 2018
- Club Captain1995 to 1996, 2013 to 2014, 2019 to 2021
- Match Committee for a total of 14 years
- Tournament Director South West Open 1995 to 1996, then 2012 to 2022 (Awarded WA PGA Tournament of the year 2014, 2019 and 2021)
- Produced PGA Tour level South West Open Information Flyer for 22 years.
- Punchbowl Champion 2006
- Holes in One: Sanctuary #7, BGC #8 twice.
- Currently involved in project to re-position Tee Markers for Men’s White & Blue course and introducing new “Black Tee”.
