Junior Spotlight

Congratulations Scott on achieving Senior Playing Rights!

Scott started having golf lessons at the age of 5 after showing an interest when out playing on the course with family.

He has been involved with BGC junior programs for the past 8 years.

Thank you to those members who have already had a game with Scott and made him feel so welcome. It was great to receive such positive feedback about his golf skills and that they enjoyed his company.

Process to achieving Senior Playing Rights (SPRs) approval for junior members to be able to play in senior competitions.

1. Junior is nominated by Sunday Convenor, Junior Co-ordinator or Coach to Match Committee.

2. Nomination is approved by Match Committee who then organise an assessment.

3. Assessment in a competition is done following a comprehensive guideline that includes skills, rules, etiquette, course management, maturity and readiness to participate in senior competitions.

4. If recommendation is approved it is then sent to the Board for approval.
