Dress Code
Members and Visitors are required to maintain a standard of dress considered to be in keeping in both style and neatness with the character and standing of the Bunbury Golf Club. Caddies should also comply with these requirements.
Bunbury Golf Club Dress Code is aimed at achieving a neat and tidy appearance appropriate to golf. Members and visitors should always appear neat and well dressed: dressing accordingly shows respect for yourself, your Club and the game of golf. Members, visitors or guests presenting at the course not dressed appropriately may be refused a start.
All clothing must be neat and tidy. No irregularly faded or torn clothing, including designer torn denim, is permitted. Apparel must not display offensive designs or slogans.
ON COURSE – WOMEN: MEMBERS, GUESTS & CADDIES
- Tailored pants, shorts or skirts of medium length.
- Golf dresses.
- Collared shirts with or without sleeves.
- Crew neck, turtleneck and roll neck shirts.
- Golf shoes with socks.
NOT PERMITTED:
- Tracksuits, harem pants, midriff tops, gym wear, singlet tops, tights, lycra shorts, beach wear, football socks.
- Bare feet, open type footwear, sandals, thongs, work boots, metal spikes or shoes that may damage the course.
NOTE: Denim of neat and tidy appearance, with no rips or tears, is permitted for social play outside of competition tee times, monitored by Club staff.
ON COURSE – MEN: MEMBERS, GUESTS & CADDIES
- Collared, crew neck, turtleneck and roll neck shirts (all preferably tucked in).
- Shirts may be short or long sleeved.
- Tailored pants or shorts.
- Golf shoes with socks.
NOT PERMITTED:
- Stubbies, tracksuits, brightly coloured or patterned board shorts, combat pants, T-shirts, singlets/tank tops, gym wear, football socks, high visibility work wear.
- Bare feet, open type footwear, sandals, thongs, work boots, metal spikes or shoes that may damage the course.
NOTE: Denim of neat and tidy appearance, with no rips or tears, is permitted for social play outside of competition tee times, monitored by Club staff.
PRACTICE AREAS
The practice areas include the driving range and the practice putting, chipping and bunker areas.
- Tailored pants, shorts, denim jeans/shorts, collared shirt, crew neck, turtleneck and roll neck shirts (all shirts preferably tucked in).
- Golf shoes or joggers.
NOT PERMITTED:
- Stubbies, brightly coloured or patterned board shorts, T-Shirts, high visibility work wear, track suits, harem pants.
- Bare feet, open type footwear, sandals, thongs, metal spikes, work boots or shoes that might damage the practice area.
CLUBHOUSE
The clubhouse includes the main lounge, dining and bar area, match room, meeting room, alfresco and deck area.
The dress standard in the clubhouse for all members, their guests and visitors is to reflect current community standards where the minimum smart casual is the requirement. Clean, neat and tidy always.
- Smart casual dress, tailored pants or shorts, jeans, skirts, dresses, collared shirts, crew neck, turtleneck and roll neck shirts.
- Denim is allowed, provided it is clean and tidy with no rips or tears.
- Shoes must be worn in the clubhouse. Dress sandals are acceptable for men and women.
NOT PERMITTED:
- Stubbies, brightly coloured or patterned board shorts, beachwear, T-shirts, tracksuits, work boots, Ugg boots and thongs.
- Hats and beanies, unless for medical reasons.
