Behind the Bar News
Published on 5th October 2018 in Guest News, Uncategorised
Welcome to this month’s news from behind the bar. Isn’t it good to see spring has arrived? With the new clubhouse renovations nearing completion the bar staff are expecting to see a big increase in happy members and guests taking full advantages of our alfresco areas.
If you haven’t been to the clubhouse for a while you will not have seen the new tables. They look fantastic. To complete the look the new chairs are expected to arrive in late October.
The decking is expected to be finished by the end of October and will be furnished with outdoor bar tables and stools. Imagine yourself enjoying the sunset with a nice cold one.
Green Door Winery will be hosting a wine tasting at the club on Wednesday 10th October from 12.30pm to 3.00pm. They will be presenting the complete range of their wines. Be sure to try the Flamenco Rose. It is one of the most popular wines currently available at the club.
New products
We are continually looking for new products to keep our range fresh and interesting. A couple of new items are;
Jacob’s Creek 200ml Chardonnay Pinot Noir, and Corona Ligera. Lighter on the palate with subtle malt and hop notes and a pleasing dry finish. Sounds more like a wine description doesn’t it.
The bar staff appreciate the increasing number of congratulatory comments being received. We try hard to provide the best service we can and it’s nice to get feedback.
We expect to feature a short piece on a bar staff member in coming issues of news from behind the bar so that you can get to know us a little better.
We get to hear many funny comments regarding golf and will also share some of these in future news from behind the bar. This month’s contribution is
“I only play golf to reinforce my low self esteem”.
Until next month, happy golfing.
