Captain’s Report – 11 October 2017

Championships qualifying rounds are now well underway, with positive competitor numbers in the first 2 rounds.  The quarter final and semi final match play rounds will be contested on Wednesday 18 October 2017.

All these matches will be “off the stick” with first group teeing off at 8 am.  Finals for all divisions will be on Wednesday the 25 October 2017.

I would like to wish all competitors the best of luck. May all matches be fun, contested fiercely and demonstrate great sportsmanship.

I am sure the dinner will be a great celebration and good opportunity to acknowledge the Champions in all divisions.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their continued support and encouragement in relation to the new qualifying system implemented this year.

We have invited the Ladies of Melville Glades Golf Club to join us on the 1 November 2017.   As yet, I have not received confirmation of the number of players coming down, but
we look forward to hosting them on the day.
The unstable limestone tee marker on the Ladies #5 has been reported to the ground staff and should be addressed soon.   Please take care and do not lean on it.
