President’s Report – 12 July 2017

The Bunbury Open and Bowl/Classic entry forms have been finalised and emailed out.

Much time and effort by Wendy and myself went into getting them amended to include the new event, etc. Thank you for the input we received by the committee and Mandi for helping make adjustments as well as teaching me how to do them.

From here on we must concentrate on getting volunteers for the soup and making afternoon tea. Closer to the close of entries, we’ll have an idea of numbers.

We also need to have someone head up a group to polish the trophies and clean the glass in the trophy cabinet this month. Underneath the bar, near the corner till, is where the silver polish I bought last year should be.

With renovations in our change rooms, I’m hoping that we will have an inside access to use during the Open Day and Bowl. I’ll ask Des is we can have this happen. Otherwise, we may need to commandeer the men’s change rooms!!

Wendy and I sat down with Shani to discuss our collective ideas regarding the progression of her students on to the golf course. Del has been kind enough to be the coordinator and with the help of club members, we can show these women why we love the game of golf as much as we do.
