Bar Report – September

Published on 5th September 2024 in Members News

We’re creeping closer to that much needed warmer weather. I’m not sure about you but all of these cold, gloomy days are starting to take their toll despite it being the perfect weather for a few glasses of red!

Speaking of red wine, we have a delectable new addition to our shelf. The other week the club held our annual Bunbury Bowl which was sponsored by willow bridge so in turn we were only pouring their range of wines which is how we stumbled across the absolutely beautiful Solana Tempranillo. The perfect alternative to shiraz if you looking for a new palate feel. I could tell you all about the flavour profiles but it’s more exciting to let you experience it for yourselves! Pouring by the glass at $9, it’s safe to say that you won’t be hurting the wallet to experience a high quality drop.

Well, it’s official. We have signed our contract with Lion Co which means that our taps have all changed. Like I’ve previously mentioned, all of you Peroni and great northern lovers will still be able to have access to them in the form of a stubby and we can even pour them into a glass for you 😉 I do recommend experimenting with our new drops on tap as none of them are set in stone. Feel free to have a chat to our friendly bar staff who will be able to tell you what else Lion offer in their catalogue and give your opinion on what you’d like to see us pouring!!

2 new additions that you may not have seen are Stone & Wood pacific ale (bar managers favourite) or Rogers amber ale which is more of your traditional beer flavour profile. It doesn’t taste as dark as it looks. We are also now pouring Byron Bay Lemon as a substitute to Hard Rated.

Remember to book a table to for one of our lunches or dinners to experience our amazing service.
