The month of love has been and gone and thank god it was a leap year because I’ve been chomping at the bit to give you all an update on the new and exciting thing we’ve got going behind the bar at The Clubhouse.
Now, last edition I dropped some hints at some of the changes we will be making to our wines and I’m very proud to inform you that we have revamped and updated a good chunk of our list! Starting off in the whites. You will no longer be seeing Soli sbs and Dragonfly sbs. Also on the way out is Lancaster chenin blanc, Flametree ‘embers’ rose and Soli Chardonnay. To be replaced by Talisman 2022 chardonnay. A beautiful, deep flavoured chardy for the “real” wine lovers at the club. Stella Bella “skuttlebutt” 2021 sbs is another new edition. Bird in hand 2021 chardonnay and Springseed 2021 chardonnay will also be poured by our friendly bar staff.
In the reds we will be saying goodbye to lost lake pemby red, Dragonfly cab sauv, kalleske gsm, Lancaster cab sauv, 3 lions pinot noir. All of which have served us well in the flavour department but also to keep things fresh and enjoyable for our customers we like to bring you all new and exciting wines to try. For example, some new stock we will be carrying is the ever popular Stella Bella “skuttlebutt” cab sauv shiraz along with the bolder brother of our current driftwood cab sauv we will also be pouring driftwood shiraz as well! If you’re looking for some deeper profiled wine we have also acquired some rare bottles of “Battle of Bosworth” 2018 cabernet sauvignon and Sevenhill 2019 Cabernet franc. I have personally tried each of these wines and the flavour profiles are immaculate. So much so that the bar staff even gifted our beloved GM a bottle of the sevenhill for his 30th birthday last week!!
I know this have been a very wine forward update for the clubhouse but hey…. I’m very passionate and excited to share these wines with you all. Myself and the bar staff look forward to pouring you 1,2 maybe even 3 glasses of these new editions!
