Bar Report – June
Published on 26th May 2023 in Members NewsAnother month has passed and we’re creeping ever so close to our coveted South West Open. As we prepare to host 5 days of quality golf and hospitality!
Some things you may have noticed around The Clubhouse recently. A new local craft beer that you can find in our fridges is Beer Farm Pale Ale, an easily drinkable beer that’s a good sipper for any occasion.
In the wine department due to a supply issue, while we wait for Barrecas to bottle some more of their beautiful chardonnay, they have kindly sent us a stock of SSB which I’m sure will be well received by our wine connoisseurs around the club 😉 in saying this, it is worth noting that this is now one of our only SSB’s due to waterdancer switching to SBS this last vintage. So it’s definitely worth experimenting and giving this Barrecas a go!
Our Bar Managers recommendation for the month… and no this is not just a product we’re trying to get rid of 😉 one of my personal favourites that we have in The Clubhouse at the moment is the Kalleske GSM, from Barossa Valley. A beautifully balanced, medium bodied with subtle tannins but a strong backbone, not many people try this wine but it’s honestly a hidden gem. I can’t recommend it enough.
It may also be worth noting that we now stock Jacobs Creek Sparkling in 700ml bottles as well as piccolo size. Perfect for sharing… or not 😊
Remember its not too late to put your hand up to volunteer for the South West Open. We appreciate all the help we can get. Be a part of an award winning weekend a help the club make history. The sign up board is located next to the stage and we still have a few spots to fill in the alfresco, setting up the “watering hole” and various other jobs around the club.
